Dr. Krishauna Hines-Gaither will incorporate best practices into the workshop from her book, The Antiracist World Language Classroom. She will provide strategies for how educators can include antiracism in their language classrooms. Her workshop centers the voices of underrepresented communities. She provides practical tools to incorporate antiracist lessons across language levels and proficiencies. These key principles will be applicable to multiple languages. This session will strike the perfect balance between theory and practice. Learn today, use tomorrow.
This session will bring all the pieces together from sessions one and two with continued practical application. Since the March meeting, teachers will have developed an antiracist lesson of their own. They will receive feedback on their lessons from their peers with insights from the facilitator. We should have time for Q&A to tie up any loose ends
