“Teaching to Transform 2: How have you listened?”

We started this school year by cultivating our villages. We engaged in dialogue about how we identify and continuously refine our teaching philosophies and discussed ways to actively listen. We were introduced to different ways of listening in our teaching and learning villages as culturally relevant, responsive and sustaining educators.
In this session, we will continue to reflect on and dig deeper into how our identities, coupled with our lived experiences from the past few months, have informed how we have chosen to respond to our villages, particularly our students.
